ADULT GIGS

ADULT GIGS
Our Adult Gigs are for students ages 21 and over. No performance experience is required, but students are expected to at least have "advanced beginner" skills on their principal instrument. Bands meet on a weekly basis, for 2.5 hours. The sessions generally run for about 4 months (16 weeks). However, depending on start dates and other scheduling concerns - including what's convenient for our students - sessions might run anywhere from about 12 to 20 weeks. We'll have start dates, end dates, and performance dates for each session posted as early as possible. All sessions culminate in a live performance at a public venue.

An instructor (or "show leader") will help with song selection, lead the weekly rehearsals, and keep everyone organized with charts and other resources. Your show leader will also assist with changing keys to accommodate vocalists. Additionally, a professional drummer is provided to handle all the drumming, or personally assist student drummers.

Students may bring their own beer or wine for responsible enjoyment at the weekly rehearsals.

For fall 2019, we're offering three different Gigs, each with a different show leader and its own musical theme. See below for specific details regarding Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday night Gigs. Each meets on a weekly basis, from 7:30-10:00.
